Britt Boutros-Ghali

Britt, a renowned Norwegian abstract expressionist, has lived and worked in Egypt for over five decades, becoming a key figure in its artistic community. Known for her vibrant, large-scale action paintings, Britt draws inspiration from Egypt’s rich culture. Exhibited globally since 1962, Britt's work is held in numerous public and private collections. She received Norway’s St. Olav's Order in 1996 and a lifetime achievement award from Egypt in 2023. Born in 1937 in Svolvaer, Norway, her childhood amid WWII and extreme climates also deeply influences her work.
